Dracula, The Judge, Kenshin and more...

Did some trips recently and I had time to watch some movies (after all, anywhere in the world is usually 7 hours or more away from Oz...) The Judge: Nice warm movie, that would have been merely a by the books, cliche filled movie about a father and son with the courtroom as the background, except that RD 1 (Robert Downing) and RD 2 (Robert Duvall) were wonderful as the stubborn father and son. They lifted the movie beyond the mediocre, and it became a heart warming movie. It won't kill "On Golden Pond" but it's a nice movie for a quiet weekend. Cafe Love Waiting The second in a trilogy by Giddeons Ko, it's set in a university age group, with love, ghosts, and gangsters... funny especially if you get their whacky Taiwanese colloquial chat. Having spent time there, IMHO, this withstands a few viewings.. Kundo: A Korean period action movie. IMHO, it's not a lot to shout about in terms of the action, but some will enjoy the 'acting'
